1997 Land Rover Defender 90

This NAS example was imported to Japan in 1997 as one of 500 brought to that market at the end of the run of NAS Defenders. 

The mass air flow sensor, intake plenum, air filter, and throttle position sensor was replaced in January 2021 when all fluids services were performed. The power steering gearbox was replaced in February 2022, and also the WABCO ABS computer module that is mounted under the front passenger seat.

Recent work includes dry ice treatment of the entire underside which looks amazing! Waxoyl treatment was also performed to help preserve and protect this clean Defender.

This example has a replacement speedometer which was common upon import to USA as most 97s had issues with the liquid crystal display. Although the mileage shows 5000 miles, true miles are around 51k total and clearly taken from the condition of this vehicle that it is a low mile example.  

It is often found that most of the Japanese North American spec models are some of the finest left as these were considered collector pieces upon delivery in 1997.
